What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Browsing without an account
You can read almost everything without an account. We use one essential cookie to keep your session and language choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Text-size and contrast preferences are stored only in your own browser.
If you create an account
We store your name, email address and a hashed password, plus what you choose to create: saved places, itineraries, reviews, submissions and business claims.
We ask only for what a feature needs. A phone number is requested only when you claim a business, to verify the claim, and is never published.
If you send us a submission
Submissions made without an account include the name and email address you give, used only to follow up. To limit abuse we keep a one-way hash of the sender’s network address, not the address itself.
Please do not include private information about other people in anything you send.
What we never store
The public directory holds information about organisations and places, not about private individuals. We do not store medical histories, patient information or payment details.
Maps
Map tiles are loaded from a map tile provider when a page contains a map. That provider receives your network address and the area you are viewing, as with any map on the web.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change your notification preferences and request deletion of your account from the settings page. When an account is deleted, saved places and itineraries are removed, and submissions that were already reviewed are kept without your name.
